VHVK Law represents clients in proceedings, both in courts and before special agencies and tribunals such as the National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Department of Legal Metrology, Consumer Forums, and Environmental Tribunals (State and National).

• Recovery actions for clients’ receivables: Clients are domestic and overseas companies in different sectors such as healthcare and apparels
• Representing client, a transnational brand, in proceedings under the Packaged Commodities Rules
• Representing product vendors, which are national/international brands, in consumer action
• Debt recovery/restructuring proceedings under the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016
• Recovery and enforcement actions under SARFAESI Act
• Defending actions in Debt Recovery Tribunal/Appellate Tribunal in lawsuits by banks and financial institutions
• Representing client, a resort property company, in case relating to compliance under the Companies Act on filing of returns and documents, and contents of financial statements
• Assist clients in proceedings under environmental legislation and representing client, a not-for-profit association, before the State Environment Appellate Authority.
• Consumer cases to enforce insurance claims wrongly repudiated by providers

Arbitration

VHVK Law represents institutional and corporate clients in major arbitrations.

• We assist a large water supply utility in arbitration proceedings with vendors for turnkey projects. The disputes relate to delays in implementation, cost escalation, and applicability of interest charges.
• Another important engagement is by a large IT client in arbitration against a customer for breach of contract and recovery of damages. The customer of our client has set up counterclaims and the dispute is contentious.
