- Dispute Resolution – Arbitration and Specialist Forums
Arbitration is an increasingly popular resolution method in commercial and other disputes. We are active in arbitration proceedings that are less formal and offer greater flexibility in moving towards fair and just results. Major arbitration cases handled by VHVK Law Partners include representing a public water utility in dispute with a vendor and a complex breach of contract claim for a leading IT company, involving counterclaims.
VHVK Law Partners also assists clients with representation in specialist forums, such as the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission. We represent large public sector clients as well as a range of clients in the private sector – small, medium and large – in power tariff revision and similar proceedings.
- Banks & Financial Companies including SARFAESI Proceedings
A major area of our work is with banks and non-banking financial companies. We assist banks and financial companies in recovery matters including proceedings under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI Act). Here again, our emphasis is on quick progress and timely resolution of cases. Our growing practice in this area attests to the quality of our work.
